Amba Design Ltd is a consultancy serving the Furniture and Textile industries, established in 1998 by Ian Archer and Judith Wooton. Since meeting at Art & Design College in Birmingham, Ian and Judy nurtured plans to collaborate, utilising their specialist skills in upholstery and textile design. After more than ten years at Amba design they believe their success is due to a pasion for design, which delivers creative and commerical design solutions (over £20 million of Amba designs were sold in 2008). lthough Amba specialaises in sofa, chair and textile design, a full ‘design direction service’ is offered including all the creative funtions of a contemporary manufacturer: trend forcasting, brand development, product design, fabric specifying, art direction for literature & photography as well as showroom and exhibition design.
